What to Expect

No matter who you are or where you’ve been, you are welcome here.

At Faith Ridgeland you’ll be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by people who are excited to see you. We want you to have an idea of what to expect when you arrive. All you have to do from here is come as you are and find out more for yourself.

As our guest at Faith Ridgeland, we are more concerned with meeting your real life needs than how you are dressed. Feel free to dress casually and comfortably, just as you would any other time. We are a diverse group of people and our clothing reflects that diversity.

We strive to create a friendly, welcoming environment that helps people connect with God and with one another. We won’t make you wear a visitor badge, stand up, or stand out in any way. We want you to feel free to check us out without being singled out.

Our musical worship is best described as a blend of contemporary and traditional styles. You will hear a variety of contemporary songs and hymns with various musical instruments and vocalists. However, the main “instrument” of our musical worship is the voice of our congregation singing out together. We invite you to sing along. Don’t worry if you don’t know all the words, they will be projected on a screen to help you.

We believe that the Bible is God’s primary way of speaking to us. Because of this belief, the preaching of God’s Word is a major part of our worship. Our goal is to do more that deliver a motivation talk on an inspirational topic. Rather, our goal is to open up the Bible and help you to understand and apply it to your everyday life in meaningful and relevant ways. You aren’t going to hear “do better” and “try harder,” you will the message of hope and help that can only be found in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

After the service, we hope you will stick around and give us a chance to get to know you. Our members enjoy staying to talk to our guests and catch up with friends, so feel free to introduce yourself to someone around you. From time to time, we have luncheons which everyone (including guests) are welcome to attend.
